As part of a regional energy project, Hikurangi Enterprises is looking at the feasibility of supporting the establishment of a solar electricity producer-consumer cooperative.

This will take some time to establish but will mean those participating collectively own the systems being installed. We have secured access to the legal documents and systems necessary to run a local cooperative and we are currently investigating options for acquiring the capital to do solar installations on the first 50 homes of cooperative members.
